Where Can I Donate Goods?

The following organizations work collaboratively to help the unhoused.  Please consider supporting any of them.

    •                                      

      GLOWS accepts donations of blankets, coats, gloves, hats,

      new socks and new underwear.

       

      We are currently asking organizations and small groups to

      put together the following to hand out when we open the

      emergency shelter this winter:

       

      CARE KITS (can be donated individually for or as a kit packed
      in individual gallon baggies)
      • Travel sized toothpaste
      • Toothbrush
      • Travel sized shampoo
      • Travel sized liquid soap
      • Travel sized lotion
      • Disposable razor
      • White athletic socks

      dropoff/pickup.

       

       

      New Liberty Baptist Church

       

      New Liberty Baptist Church provides our friends a meal on

      Tuesday evenings, as well as showers.  They need casual

      men's and women's clothing, new underwear and shoes

      of all sizes.  They also need toiletries, such as

      travel sized soap, shampoo and lotion.

       

      Donations can be dropped off Tuesday evenings,

      5-7 p.m. at Turner Hall behind the Church at New

      Liberty Baptist Church, 309 Candlewood Ln., Garland

       

       

      Buckingham Road Church of Christ

       

       

      Donate usable clothing, household items, and furniture. If

      someone is not there, you can leave it by the office door

      on the right side of the building.

       

       

      Friendship House

       

       

      Donate usable clothing, household items, food and toys at their

      24 hour drop box or by dropping them off during business hours.

       


      Good Samaritans

      Good Sams provides supplemental food assistance via a food

      pantry with kindness and compassion to our hungry and

      food-insecure

      neighbors living in Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse.


      Good Sams is currently short of 

       

      Canned meat

      - Canned fruit

      - Hearty soup

      - Pasta sauce

      Shiloh Church

      Shiloh Church, through its Project 319, collaborates with

      other entities to help the homeless and accepts donations of:


      - Coats

      - Clothing

      - Sweaters

      - Sweatshirts,

      - Hats

      - Gloves

      - Scarves

      - New underwear
